How about some brain food for breakfast? Puffed pastry brains stuffed with spicy chorizo, Yukon gold potatoes, scrambled eggs, roasted chili peppers, onions, and Pepper Jack cheese. Tombstone platter/plate from Target.
Brain cakelet pan was purchased at JoAnns, but I've also seen them at Target.
Good to keep several boxes of puff pastry on-hand during the season. They work great with the cakelet pans and do not use cooking spray! Turns out much better and not soggy. For the brain pan, I cut each puff pastry sheet into 4 squares and then used a rolling pin to get them to about 6"-7" wide. Press down into cake pan and stuff with your desired filling. Gather and fold over excess pastry and crimp closed. In my oven, 14 minutes at 400 degrees seems to work best.
